John Lindblad grew up in Richmond and has always enjoyed looking at and making art. He studied art at VCU for 4 ½ years and received a BFA in 1993 majoring in Graphic Design. John loves to draw, paint, calligraphy and photography.
After graduation John went cross-country taking pictures with a Polaroid camera. When he returned from his trip he decided to take an oil painting class at VCU and get a job.
John was laid-off from his corporate job in 2009 and decided it was time to pursue a career where he could use his talents. He apprenticed with a tattoo artist for about two years before he started tattooing full-time.
John prides himself on the versatility of his designs. He particularly likes the way black and gray tattoos look but enjoys working in bright colors too. His clients find him funny and respectful. The excitement of the “next” tattoo is what he lives for.
